A Brooklyn neighbourhood café, brought home to Cork.
The family ran a neighbourhood café in Brooklyn, New York, from 2013 to 2017. When they moved back to Cork they wanted to recreate its welcoming atmosphere: a place where the community could enjoy great food and drink, and spend time together.
Beantown Cafe opened on 18 September 2018 on a sun-filled corner of the Model Farm Road, between universities, schools, hospitals, businesses and homes. The name nods to Boston and its baseball team.
It has since grown to three cafes: Model Farm Road, Grange Road and Western Road. Outdoor seating, dogs welcome, free wifi, and you can bring your own cup.
